Summer Band/Lessons Info
Lessons are offered to any band/orchestra student from grades 5-8 (current grade level based on school year PRIOR to summer). These lessons are
taught at Clarendon Elementary School on Tuesday's & Thursday's. Lessons begin the shortly after the end of the school year. Each lesson is 30
minutes long and taught by a highly qualified instrumental teacher.
Lessons cost $50 for the entire summer of lessons. That is six weeks of lessons, twice a week. So 12 lessons for $50 total. Checks can be payable to
Mukwonago Schools.
For the summer of 2009, lessons will be structure slightly different. Lessons will be scheduled based on the following grouping:
- 9:30am-12:30pm - Brass & Percussion lessons
- 12:30-3:30pm - Woodwind lessons
Using this guideline, lessons will be scheduled based on instrumentation, grade level, and ability level. If you have any questions regarding this
process, please contact Josh Werner.
Summer Band
The second program offered in Mukwonago Schools is the summer band program. This opportunity is offered to students from grade 6-12 (based on
school year PRIOR to the summer).
The band rehearses at Mukwonago High School, room 102 (Band room), on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:30pm-9:15pm.
There is no cost to this program, however we do perform at the end of the 6 weeks somewhere in Wisconsin. There is a small charge for our
performance shirt that is ordered over the summer, and also the cost of trip.
Questions on this program should also be directed to Josh Werner.
